Lycoris Recoil Staff Interviews: Story Designer Asaura

Story Designer: Asaura

Born in Hokkaido Prefecture. Known as an author.
Won the Newcomer and Grand Prizes in the 5th Super Dash Bunko Novel Awards and debuted in 2006 with his novel “The Crimson In The Yellow Colored Flower.” Has penned other notable titles including “Ben-To” and “Knights of Sidonia: Undoubtly Common Love.” Has recently written scripts for anime including “Phantom in the Twilight” and “revisions.”

From the world itself to the characters, plot, and so forth, Asaura was the one who built the foundation for Lycoris Recoil (hereafter “LycoReco”). As we look back at the story, we talk with him regarding the various chemical changes that occurred when director Shingo Adachi joined on.

Lycoris Recoil Staff Interviews: Character Designer Imigi Muru

This is one of the staff interviews from the “Heroine Archive” fanbook released in mid-February by Ichijinsha.

Character Designer: Imigi Muru

Born in Hyougo Prefecture. Known as a mangaka and illustrator.
Made his manga debut in 2008 with “Good Luck to You!!”. Other notable titles include “This Art Club Has a Problem!”, “Saito-kun Seems Like an Esper”, and illustrations for the “There’s Too Many Losing Heroines” novels. Has also contributed illustrations to the “Fate/Grand Order” mobile game.

Lycoris Recoil was Imigi Muru’s first job as character designer for an anime. Here we go through the design process telling how the lively characters in the series were first visualized and created along with showing some early rough drafts.

Lycoris Recoil Staff Interviews: Director Shingo Adachi

This is one of the staff interviews from the “Heroine Archive” fanbook released in mid-February by Ichijinsha.

Director/Series Composer:Shingo Adachi

Born in Osaka. Known as animator, character designer, and animation director.
Notable titles include serving as character designer, chief animation director, animation director assistant, and OP/ED animation director for the WORKING!! and Sword Art Online series.

This was Shingo Adachi’s first directoral work. As a famous animator, he had supported several titles from the animation/visual side. Here we ask him about “being an outsider” and using his common sense in order to defeat issues in production.
