When you follow leads to their conclusion, only the truth remains. That is the end result of using Logic.
Miles Edgeworth, Ace Attorney Investigations
By thinking critically, answers become new questions, thoughts become reality, and what was once only a possibility can become the truth. This holds true to many forms in life, entertainment included. This will be my personal blog where I ponder certain aspects of anime, tokusatsu, and general life and how things are related. Due to the nature of being a scientist I tend to require evidence before being able to conclude something, but sometimes you have to think philosophically when there is no evidence.
While we may not know the absolute correct possibilities behind everything, being able to understand how things have occurred helps us to realize why certain aspects are important. I shall delve into the history as well as the cultural implications of actions that have occurred and use those to base my posts.
I can’t promise that I can make posts on a regular schedule. Life doesn’t always allow for structure and thus neither can I abide by a structure. I hope to continually update this as much as possible, but I warn that it’s likely there will be some downtime.
This blog will also play host to a few personal posts where I look at favorites and analyze why they are favorites to me. I hope that inspires you to think why do you like something so much. In fact, the entire purpose of this is to create thoughts and inspire people to question and ponder more in everyday life.
One other avenue of this blog is to post reviews of Japanese Blu-Ray/DVDs to give people who are thinking about importing some pictures/thoughts about sets that I’ve imported so they can make a better judgement on any purchase. When I started importing, there were very few resources available and I wish to somewhat fill in that gap with the shows I’m importing so that others can have an idea of what a Japanese release looks like.
Favorite Characters:
Here is my final list of my top 10 favorite characters as of August 2012. Since there’s little suspense at who’s my favorite, I’m going in ascending order instead of descending. I’m also using novel characters, but their posts contain novel spoilers.
2:Sasaki (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya)
3:Satone Shichimiya (Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai!)
4:Ruiko Saten (A Certain Scientific Railgun)
5:Taiga Aisaka (Toradora!)
6:Hisa Takei (Saki)
7:Mikuru Asahina (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya)
8:Kotomi Ichinose (Clannad/Clannad~After Story~)
9:Ryuji Takasu (Toradora!)
10:Haruhi Suzumiya (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya)
Favorite TV Anime:
No need to make posts as you can easily tell my favorite shows by the JP BD imports:
1: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya JP DVDs/Haruhi-chan BD/TV series BD/JP movie BD/US movie BD/novel fanbook translation/basics to Koizumimegax
2: Toradora!: NA DVD Volume 1/Volume 2/JP BD-Box
3: Clannad/Clannad~After Story~ NA DVD/JP BD (After Story)- NA DVD/JP BD
4: Hanasaku Iroha JP BD Volumes 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9 – Final Thoughts
5: To Aru Kagaku no Railgun JP BD Volumes 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/OVA
6: Saki JP BD-Box/“Mahjong is fun” (debating DVD set if I can find it at a decent price)
And I can’t call anything else a “favorite.” If I can’t write a diatribe about the series, then I can’t call it one of my favorite series (and yes, these are series, not single seasons depending on format).
Excellent introduction! ^_^ Congrats on the new blog and I look forward to reading future posts~

Hi Ultimatemegax,
My name is Catherine Meyers, I’m the admin of a web blog directory, while reading your blog and it’s reviews and articles about anime and manga, (Nagisa is so down the list in your favourite characters T_T), I was wondering if you might be interested in a link exchange (no money involved), I would add your blog in my directory so my visitors will also visit your site and in exchange you add my website to your blogroll or links. Please let me know if you are interested and the best of luck with Ultimatemegax’s Blog.
Cheers!
Cathy
Hi,
Nice to meet you. I’m Bleedingcarnation one admin of a spanish-light-novel-translation group called Chibi Chibi Fansub(CCF). We would like to retranslate your work into spanish. Your credits would be included in our work.
I’m learning japanese so I could translate directly but having your work as a reference would be a relief.
Waiting for your response.
Bleedingcarnation.
Great work you do! Love Chuunibyou!
can you send your e-mail? I need talk to you about your translation of Chuunibyou. Thanks,
Hi, I was reading through your top 10 favorite characters and I could not find the link for Satone…has your post on her been deleted or have you not gotten around to writing it?
Not gotten around to writing it yet. I’ve been busy for the past few months.
Hello, Actually I looking for chuunibyou light novel translation and I found that this site was host the translation before. But It’s look like the translations was not in here anymore. May I know why the translation removed?
Thanks
Simply, I grew annoyed at a certain small subsection of light novel fans who felt they were above supporting the titles they were fans of. I didn’t want to be a hypocrite, so I removed those translations.
Ah I see, have seen that case a lot in LN translations. But you know I interested with the LN and want to make epub from your translation (so far I just found pdf version). So, um is there any chance for me to get your works so I can made epub for the LN?
But of course if you said no, I will respect it.
thanks
